Soulful Classic Rock Grooves

We are Stanley Dan, a premier classic rock band based in Huntsville, Alabama. We bring soulful renditions and electrifying performances to the stage. Founded during the 2020 pandemic by guitarist Stan Lee, we feature exceptional musicians including Tom Branch on drums, Bob Hawkins on bass, Andrew Littleton on keyboards, and a dynamic horn section. With Daniel Newton's powerful gospel and R&B vocals and Sharla Bell's harmonies, we deliver unforgettable Steely Dan covers and other soulful classics. Our Journey Begins

During the pandemic shutdown of 2020, our guitarist Stan Lee began creating musical charts of Steely Dan songs. Joined by his musician friends Tom Branch (drums), Bob Hawkins (bass), Andrew Littleton (keyboards), Steve Motz (sax), and Sandy Roll (trumpet), we practiced and fine-tuned our sound at Sound Cell studio. As members of the Rocket City Jazz Orchestra, we connected with lead singer Daniel Newton, whose gospel and R&B background added a soulful touch to our music. Sharla Bell, from Stan's other band Nossa Samba, later joined as a co-lead singer, expanding our repertoire to include other soulful, jazzy artists.
